- You would have the opportunity to work with a team including 85 physicians, 90 advanced practitioners and 575 employees, providing comprehensive care for patients with orthopaedic foot and ankle, hand and wrist, elbow and shoulder, hip and knee, sports medicine, trauma and cancer conditions throughout the Musculoskeletal Institute.
- First opened in August of 2008 as a multi-specialty clinic that has expanded to include an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
- GLH provides inpatient, outpatient, wellness and community services while employing over 1,000 full-time and part-time employees and providing a medical staff consisting of more than 150 physicians and allied health practitioners representing specialties ranging from family medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology to infectious disease and general/cardiovascular surgery.
- Geisinger’s Northeast Region supports two areas – Wilkes-Barre and Scranton – with a total of 3 hospitals, a multi-disciplinary Healthplex in Pittston (centrally located in-between the two areas), and numerous MSKI outpatient clinics.
- The ability to work with local semi-professional teams, including Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (a Pittsburgh Penguin minor league hockey farm team) and the Scranton/ the Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (a New York Yankees MLB farm team).
