- The Commercial Lasers Advanced R+D team is responsible for developing a wide range of products, components, systems, and processes relating to novel high power (hundreds-of-Watts to multi-kW) CW and pulsed laser products.
- The Optical Scientist Intern will play an important role in the development, design, and test of optical components, systems, or processes.
- Working with other R+D team members to design, build, and/or test prototype fiber laser components/subsystems in the lab
- Qualified candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree program in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience with lasers and common test equipment including power meters, optical spectrum analyzers, beam profilers, etc
