- Katzen Eye Group is searching for a patient focused Ophthalmic Technician I for our Lutherville office with travel to our Mercy Medical Center and Rosedale, Md. office locations and be willing to work at least 1 Saturday every 6 weeks.
- However, we do have a significant clinical training program and will consider training exceptional candidates from outside of the ophthalmology or optometry field.
- The Ophthalmic Technician I will perform a range of duties which include preparing the patient to see Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist and conduct preliminary exam and captures medical history.
- In addition, the preparation of examination and treatment rooms, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic instruments and assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures may be required.
- Perform lensometry and specialized testing such as visual fields, keratometry, A/B scans, and ophthalmic photography optical coherence tomography (OCT), and optical biometry
