- Position Title: Operator Technician I or II - Power Plant OPEN UNTIL FILLED Department/Location: Office of Chief Ops Officer; Pioneer Generation Station / Williston, ND Company: Basin Electric Power Cooperative Position Purpose: This position operates and maintains the gas turbine and reciprocating engine generating units, all electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.
- Maintain all Ammonia training in reference to Homeland Security and Risk management Plan. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and trouble shoot to solve station mechanical and technical problems.
- Properly enter all outages and de-rates in the PCI software system Operate the station within the environmental requirements and operate units from the control room.
- Perform ground maintenance (mowing, watering, removing snow), paints, and cleans buildings.
- Qualifications : Operator Technician II: A two-year power plant technology program and three years of operation or maintenance experience in an industrial, coal-based/combustion turbine generation, or combined cycle generation power plant; Or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and four years of operation or maintenance experience in an industrial, coal-based/combustion turbine generation, or combined cycle generation power plant experience.
