- The CRS reports to the Executive Director/CEO and co-manages Pacific Whale Foundation's (PWF) research department in partnership with the Chief Research Biologist.
- Our ideal candidate connects strongly to our mission, understands conservation practices and environmental responsibility, and must have a master’s degree in marine biology or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience.
- Will also accept a PhD in marine biology or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of work experience.
- Must also have knowledge of (1) object or component orientated development software such as R; (2) GIS-R and ArcGIS; (3) Discovery; (4) Distance; (5) MATLAB; and (6) MARK and SOCPROG and experience managing and maintaining National Marine Fisheries Service research permits, such as permit Principal Investigator or Chief Investigator, and be a dynamic leader who can nurture and develop teams, and embraces PWF’s justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) efforts.
