- Serves as Physician in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Antepartum Diagnostic Center, OB/GYN clinic, Labor and Delivery, the Operating room, and other areas where Maternal-Fetal Medicine Consultation is requested to include but not limited to the Emergency room and the main Operating Room. Will be the attending on Labor and Delivery and take Labor and Delivery call.
- Ultrasound examinations include a variety of conditions ranging from routine Obstetrical ultrasounds to high risk obstetrical scans to include but not limited to, nuchal translucency, fetal anatomy survey, fetal echocardiogram, Doppler studies (umbilical artery Dopplers, MCA Dopplers, and venous Dopplers), biophysical profile, growth scans, and endovaginal scans for assessment of dating, cervical length, adnexal masses, or other evaluation.
- Performs amniocentesis, and other procedures commonly performed in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine program.
- Independently performs ultrasound examinations, working with or without the assistance of a Sonographer.
- Utilizes and performs screening and diagnostic modalities as well as provide primary preventive care and education for women seen in the Obstetrics and Antepartum Diagnostic Center, or Labor and Delivery.
