- The Student Nursing Assistant Program is a pathway for individuals wanting to begin their direct caregiver career at the hospital.
- Caregivers will move through phases as appropriate to current scope (pre-nursing assistant program entry, active Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) license, completion of program, and awaiting Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) licensure).
- The student nursing assistant will function under the direct supervision of the Manager, Program Supervisor, or designee and within the scope of practice that the Manager, Supervisor, or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the current scope and skills.
- Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant program and the national Nurse Aid Assessment Program certification test in conjunction with remaining an employee in good standing, will qualify for entry into a regular classification as a NAC.
- The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
