- The Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), an award-winning Level II Trauma Center, seeks a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Pain Management team.
- Working in collaboration with our pain management physician and two nurse practitioners you will work very closely with the hospitalists and anesthesiologists on our medical center campus.
- Responsibilities include: completing comprehensive histories and physical exams; ordering and interpreting tests; prescribing medications; developing treatment plans; and educating patients/families on treatment options, independently manage epidural and peripheral nerve catheters; assist with wound care and dressing changes.
- Work Schedule: Full Time Monday through Friday; 8-hour day shifts variable hours; no evenings, weekends or on-call required.
- Qualifications: Master s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant; Certification as a Family Medicine or Adult/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by an approved national certifying body; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification; State of Alaska Advanced Practice Nurse or PA License.
