- The Manager of Nurse Staffing Operations, oversees, provides direction, and support to the Nurse Administrative Coordinators, Nursing Supervisors, and Staffing Resource Pool. It is a professional management position responsible for coordinating all activities in the above departments, which include clinical patient services, human resources, fiscal management, quality monitoring and evaluation.
- The Manager of Nurse Staffing Operations ensures: Appropriate coordination of staffing resources to the Nursing Management Team. Facilitates the Department of Nursing staffing of the hospital, and long-term care departments by utilizing and identifying available nursing resources, based upon unit needs and staff/census, fluctuations to maintain cost-effective staffing patterns.
- Support the nurse management team in maintaining accurate demographic, skill, and scheduling information on all nursing employees in a computerized scheduling system.
- Functions within the Nursing Department to facilitate and coordinate the placement of appropriately trained and skilled nursing personnel within the hospital.
- Other responsibilities include maintaining the Performance Management Process, discipline, and care issues for responsible departments.
