- The Network Engineer works closely with the Senior Network Engineer, providing supplementary expertise and operational support.
- Additionally, the engineer performs cable management, collaborates with developers to create workflows for Cisco-based assets in ServiceNow, and utilizes ACAS to monitor and secure network assets.
- Network Engineers are also responsible for maintaining network and personnel security within the environment, managing access control, processing service requests, and resolving trouble tickets.
- Monthly reporting to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA) is mandatory, including updates on tasks, projects, device security validations, and other critical metrics to ensure effective network management and operations continuity.
- Must possess ONE of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications:CCNA SecurityCySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification)Security+ CESSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)Must have a current Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification.
