- The Network Engineer works closely with the Senior Network Engineer, providing supplementary expertise and operational support.
- Responsibilities include maintaining, installing, updating, and securing network environments, working with technologies such as Cisco IOS, Cisco Routers, Layer 2 and Access Layer Switches, Cisco ISE, Firepower, ACI, F5, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SPLUNK, ACAS, and ServiceNow. The engineer assists in planning and executing network improvements and upgrades, providing essential documentation for project continuity and compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations.
- Additionally, the engineer performs cable management, collaborates with developers to create workflows for Cisco-based assets in ServiceNow, and utilizes ACAS to monitor and secure network assets.
- Monthly reporting to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA) is mandatory, including updates on tasks, projects, device security validations, and other critical metrics to ensure effective network management and operations continuity.
