- Utilizes knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal environmental regulation, including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and Clean Air Act to complete required NEPA documentation.
- Assesses, discloses, and documents impacts of proposed engineering actions to the general public through legally sound NEPA and other environmental compliance documents, including Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Categorical Exclusions (CATEXs), Descriptions of Proposed Actions and Alternatives (DOPAAs), and Biological Assessments (BAs).
- Prepares environmental technical reports such as community impact assessments and Integrated Natural Resource Management Plans (INRMP).
- Assists Business Development Group in expanding the firm’s environmental compliance services and preparing proposals for NEPA and other natural resources work, including providing technical subject matter expertise on scopes of work, schedules, levels of effort, and budget estimates.
- Extensive knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is accepted in lieu of NEPA.
