Robert Half is hiring! We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Boca Raton, Florida. This role involves tasks such as medical billing, charge posting, payment posting and manual data entry. The chosen candidate will primarily operate within the healthcare industry and will be expected to have a strong understanding of insurance billing procedures and possess technological proficiency.
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Handle medical billing tasks for insurance purposes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
</li>
<li>
Responsible for charge posting and payment posting, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and updated.
</li>
<li>
Perform manual data entry tasks, maintaining accuracy and speed.
</li>
<li>
Utilize various accounting software systems, EHR SYSTEM, IBM AS/400, Medisoft, and Microsoft Excel for different tasks.
</li>
<li>
Handle accounts receivable tasks, including appeals, billing functions, claim administration, and collection processes.
</li>
<li>
Act as a medical payment poster, ensuring all payments are correctly posted and tracked.
</li>
<li>
Operate with minimal supervision, showing the ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
</li>
<li>
Work in a regular office schedule, demonstrating punctuality and commitment.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrate strong skills in handling Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Collection Processes.
</li>
</ul>
Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
<ul>
<li>
Experience with EHR SYSTEM
</li>
<li>
Familiarity with IBM AS/400
</li>
<li>
Knowledge of Medisoft
</li>
<li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
</li>
<li>
Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
</li>
<li>
Understanding of Appeals and Billing Functions
</li>
<li>
Experience in Claim Administration
</li>
<li>
Knowledge of Collection Processes
</li>
<li>
Experience as a Medical Payment Poster 
</li>
