- A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting.
- In lieu of a Medical Assistant course, recent completion of one year formal RN program.
- Experience: Urgent care experience preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping.
- License/Certifications: Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA).
