- The Mechanical Fabrication and Assembly Department, of the Undersea Systems Office (USO) at The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL), is looking for Mechanical Engineering Support Specialists to work multiple projects and a perform a wide range of tasks.
- The mission of the Mechanical Fabrication and Assembly Department is to develop and maintain expertise in the research, development, assembly, integration, and delivery of specialty electro-mechanical systems for undersea applications.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, graduation from a technical trade college/vocational technical school, or military experience are preferred.
- Required skills/experience areas include: Highly capable in complex electro-mechanical component, sub-system and system assembly, disassembly, inspection, testing, design, and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in the operation of various machine shop tools, such as Bridgeport Milling machine and horizontal lathe as well as various hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
