$100,000 - $135,000 a year
- Our mission is to reverse climate change and return the atmosphere to 280 ppm CO₂, profitably.
- We convert waste biomass into carbon-rich bio-oil and inject it into permanent, underground storage as carbon removal, or reform the bio-oil to produce syngas for fossil-free steel.
- We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who can support our efforts towards designing incredibly efficient and robust biomass processing, char handling, and bio oil offtake systems.
- The three most pressing areas of designing biomass, char, and bio oil systems today are installing and commissioning biomass drying equipment, designing a char post-processing line, and designing a bio oil offtake solution to minimize operator intervention.
- Designing these systems requires that the engineer can effectively research and source many different types of large agricultural, forestry, and industrial processing equipment, design and build prototypes, design and execute testing procedures to effectively evaluate and optimize biomass equipment and is a strong systems thinker.
