- The incumbent will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy-duty road maintenance and construction equipment and light-duty vehicles in accordance with federal and state motor vehicle regulations.
- ITD has created an opportunity for employees hired into the Mechanic classification to advance to the Equipment Technician, Transportation classification upon completion of a customized training plan.
- This position requires that you obtain a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 60 days of hire as well as pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
- This equipment will consist of: Highway maintenance equipment including Motorgraders, Sweepers, Excavators, Dozers, Frontend loaders, Equipment Trailers, Sanders, 10-wheel trucks, 6-wheel trucks, and a variety of light duty equipment
- Diagnose, repair and maintain all types of heating and air conditioning systems used within vehicles and equipment
