Cirrus Aircraft is looking for a Materials Management Co-Op from May to December 2024. This role must be full-time onsite from May-August, 2024 and can be either part-time onsite or remote from September-December 2024. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): <ul><li>Perform container right-sizing and kanban sizing calculations to determine the optimal way to present and order materials</li><li>Reduce waste by implementing returnable container programs with external suppliers</li><li>Collaborate with the engineering team to design custom presentation solutions for oversize parts</li><li>Design point-of-use (POU) part presentation solutions that will allow technicians to ergonomically and efficiently access materials</li><li>Replenish materials from Raw & In Process stock (RIP) to POU during line live support</li><li>Support technicians during the transition to mixed-model assembly by conducting training and fielding questions</li><li>Gathers feedback from implementation stakeholders</li><li>Develops business tools and solutions that identify process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking and analysis</li><li>Measures the success of the implementation area and brainstorms solutions for unanticipated challenges</li></ul> Qualifications Education/Training: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Currently pursuing ASCM CPIM certification preferred. Related Experience: <ul><li>Previous supply chain work experience or internship preferred.</li><li>Experience related to the following areas; warehouse, supply chain, logistics, replenishment, process improvement, and data analysis.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to multi-task</li></ul> Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: <ul><li>Proficiency in MS Excel</li><li>Preferred experience with Epicor Avantè ERP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP</li><li>Proficiency in Material Pull Systems, and an understanding of Materials Requirements Planning functionality and limitations</li><li>Must possess a strong attention to detail and ability to focus on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must be comfortable operating with minimal supervision and ability to prioritize and execute tasks</li><li>Ability to translate complex data into a simple to understand format</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively across a wide variety of functions and levels of the organization.</li><li>Ability to influence cross-functionally with both a keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills</li><li>Ability to present complex information & concepts in a precise and digestible fashion</li><li>Comfort in ambiguous situations and ability to work towards goals</li></ul> Additional Requirements: <ul><li>Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.</li><li>Must be able to complete entire duration of internship/co-op.</li><li>Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship/co-op.</li></ul> Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
