- The Managing Director leads digital and print communications for the department and works closely with colleagues across the hospital and the system to plan and implement all marketing related initiatives across communication channels to increase philanthropic revenue, promote events, improve brand awareness, cultivate and steward donors and create prospect lead generation.
- Provide strategic leadership for development communications including success indicators/metrics to drive fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship through support of digital, print and events communications.
- Oversee content strategy, digital marketing and design/creative services teams providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management, and identifying, developing and retaining the next generation of leaders with the department.
- Drive innovation and adoption of new tools to support compelling solicitation strategies for major and principal gift prospects, partnering with Donor Relations colleagues.
- Work in direct collaboration with the Mass General Brigham (MGB) Marketing team, particularly the Senior Director of Internal Communications for Mass General, the media relations and brand teams to develop and execute cohesive communication strategies across Massachusetts General Hospital.
