- Reporting to the Executive Director, as a member of the site’s Executive Leadership Team, the Managing Director, Development (MDD) will lead a team of seven and is responsible for developing and implementing the development and communications strategy for City Year Seattle / King County to raise and sustain at least $2.5M from the private sector in FY24 and grow annually.
- The MDD will develop and execute strategic, diversified development plans to raise funds through grant writing, individual giving, and institutional partners, such as corporations and foundations.
- Fundraising Strate gy : In partnership with the Executive Director and the City Year Seattle / King County site board and development teammates , leverage and enhance the site’s existing, multi-year development plan to implement a strategic and diversified fundraising plan that meets the current goal of raising $ 2.5M from the private sector and anticipates future needs and growth objectives.
- Directly supervise Senior Major Gifts Officer, Corporate Development Director, and Development Operations and Communications Manager and Civic Engagement Manager.
- Utilize City Year’s nationally supported portfolio management process and fundraiser metrics to support frontline fundraisers.
