- Based in Dallas or Houston, the Managing Clerk will work closely with the Director of Managing Attorney’s Offices to develop best practices for electronic filing and docketing in the TX offices of the firm.
- This role reports to the Director of Managing Attorney’s Offices.
- Responsibilities include: Reviews for accuracy, as to form and procedural compliance, all court documents served and/or filed through the Managing Attorney’s Office-TX.Performs legal research to advise litigators on various procedural matters and to ensure compliance with court rules.
- Searches and extracts information from court-related databases, websites and relevant docketing and calendaring applications including, but not limited to, PACER, Bloomberg Law, CourtAlert and Westlaw.
- Screens and reviews incoming court documents and office correspondence in order to calculate and calendar relevant deadlines using the firm’s docketing system.
