Description Summary: Manages the daily operations of the department or assigned area/function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Work Schedule <ul><li>Full Time, 80 hours / pay period </li><li>Days </li></ul>Responsibilities <ul><li>Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.</li><li>Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.</li><li>Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.</li><li>Assesses the quality of services delivered and coordinates services with staff, medical offices, and external laboratories. Acts as Director in their absence.</li><li>Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. </li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field and graduate of an accredited Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist program. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
