- Major emphasis will be in the areas of native landscape management, wildlife enhancement projects, and general maintenance of properties, facilities, and trails.
- Performs maintenance and stewardship of City's natural areas and trails including: care of native plants; removing trash and debris from open land sites; cleaning and maintaining natural area sites and facilities; construction and maintenance of soft and hard surface trails; control of noxious weeds through mowing, herbicide spraying, and other techniques; assists with wildlife habitat improvement and restoration projects; provides stewardships and education to the public through field contacts.
- Basic knowledge of indigenous vegetation, wildlife, and range management concepts in Colorado's semi-arid climate.
- Current State of Colorado Department of Agriculture Certified Operator's License in the category of Rangeland preferred.
- City vehicle, utility vehicle, hand and power tools, tractors, spray equipment, watering equipment, mowers, trimmers, seeders, pressure washers, snow removal equipment, loader, chainsaw, pruning shears, additional materials and equipment as assigned
