- The Public Works and Parks, Recreation & Community Services Departments are actively seeking six (6) Maintenance Worker II. Did you know as a City of Jacksonville employee, you would also have twelve (12) paid holidays and a personal leave day as well?
- This is service maintenance work in performing unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the construction, maintenance, upkeep and repair of public works projects, public parks grounds, athletic fields, and associated right-of-way/public property maintenance duties, including operating light construction equipment.
- Examples of Work Performs semi-skilled manual labor in the construction, maintenance, upkeep and repair of public works projects, public parks grounds, athletic fields and associated right-of-way/public property maintenance duties.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains sidewalks, curb and gutter and fences which will include backstops, cleans out drainage lines, manholes and catch basins.
- Operates motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight ratings of 26,000 pounds or more including dump trucks, asphalt spreaders, tractors, backhoes, front end loaders, weed machines, street sweepers and heavy rollers.
