- Individual must pass required maintenance testing and demonstrate hands on ability and or knowledge in the following areas: hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, power transmissions, lubrication, pumps, pipe rigging, mechanical maintenance, operation of shop machines, use of work-related tools, combustion, motors, schematics and print reading, basic AC and DC theory.
- Prior industrial maintenance experience preferred Equipment, Tools, Machinery Used/Operated: Tools: Various hand tools including wrenches, pliers, hammers, screw drivers, file, various power tools, saws, welding equipment, meters and measuring devices, battery charger/changer, welder (tig, stick), plasma cutter, personal computer and other technology developed that may be required to meet operational needs.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, using tools, such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
- Individual must take an electrical specialty assessment and score within an acceptable level of proficiency as determined by Ramsey validation procedure and build and wire an assembly from a schematic Must demonstrate hands on ability and knowledge in the use of digital electronics, control circuits, power supplies, power distribution, use of test instruments, computers, and PLC's.
- Tools/Equipment/Machinery Used: Electrical specialty - additional equipment/tools include, but are not limited to the following, ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, pipe threader, conduit bender.
