- NYCSBUS (New York City School Bus Umbrella Services Inc.) is a newly formed not-for-profit corporation that provides school bus transportation services to New York City public and private school students, the majority of whom have Individualized Educational Programs.
- Reporting to the General Manager as well as the Chief Fleet and Facilities Officer, the Maintenance Shop Manager will manage all facets of operations of the maintenance shop as well as coordinate, supervise and participate in the repair and servicing of school buses, vans and other gas, diesel and EVB-powered automotive equipment.
- Interface with the depot General Manager and Assistant General Manager to monitor and review current bus fleet needs, employee bus assignments, out of service vehicles, facility repairs, etc.
- Assign, supervise and participate in major and minor mechanical repairs on buses and other light motorized equipment; diagnose diesel internal combustion engine and EVB maintenance problems.
- Performs basic computer entry tasks using a fleet maintenance software in an accurate and timely manner.
