- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of propulsion engines and auxiliary equipment of a vessel engaged in commercial fishing in the Bering Sea, Alaska and the Pacific Northwest Coast.
- Maintain and repair large scale refrigeration equipment, high and low pressure hydraulic systems, evaporative and reverse osmosis water makers.
- Maintain and repair other equipment on the deck and in the galley including winches, cranes, and galley mechanical equipment.
- Utilizes available resources to prevent breakdowns so the vessel can maintain its production schedule.
- Qualifications: USCG license equivalent to, or higher thanthe following: Asst. Engineer UFIV (Unltd HP) ; 3rd Asst. Engineer (Unltd HP), or DDE (Unltd HP) Knowledge of Diesel engines and propulsion systems, auxiliary systems such as electrical motors, electrical circuits and power distribution systems, hydraulic, water, and sewage systems.
