- The Josephine Recovery Center is not a secure environment but provides the same services as The Adult Crisis Unit. In addition to these sites CHCS operates a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT), a resource designed to bring a crisis worker into the community to provide a face-to-face assessment and intervention, follow-up and relapse prevention services.
- The staff acts as an advocate for clients who are involved in medication assisted treatment, Child Protective Services, probation/parole, and specialty court programs.
- Community Reintegration Program (CRP): Consumers are on pretrial, having been released from the JIAA into services or having been directly referred by a Special Needs Unit (SNU) pretrial officer.
- Justice Intake & Assessment Annex (JIAA) Programs: Jail diversion program designed for helping eligible arrested persons be diverted from jail and into outpatient mental health services within CHCS in efforts to reduce recidivism.
- Jail Based Competency Restoration Program: Offers legal education to individuals with mental illness who are residing in the Bexar County jail, and who have been found to be incompetent to stand trial.
