Lead Commissioning Engineer

- Plan, coordinate, perform and document the commissioning of various utility substation protection, control and power circuits in accordance with TRC's and Client's requirements, budgets, schedule, and other project specific requirements and planning documents to ensure the intended operation and safety of equipment and personnel are met.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem analysis (or the ability to learn) associated with protection and control systems and utility substation equipment, including but not limited to: Application Errors and Omissions, Drawing Errors and Omissions, Wiring Errors and Omissions, Settings Errors and Omissions, Equipment Malfunctions, Questionable Apparatus Test Results, Battery Ground Faults
- Develop a Site Risk Assessment to document all high-risk construction and commissioning activities and to formalize the processes of circuit isolation and restoration in a manner that ensures no unintended operations of station equipment, protection systems and personnel safety
- Bachelor of Science of Associate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school or University with minimum of 7+ years related electrical utility testing - commissioning experience which includes both apparatus and protective relays or 11+ years of related electrical utility testing - commissioning experience and training (AEP, Xcel, Oncore, and Entergy T-C experience on-site is strongly preferred).
- AEP vetted Leads and Assistants are highly preferred together with prior experience and success on AEP projects.
