Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.. Position: Lab Assistant Location: Calabasas Hills, CA Duration: Contract to hire based on 3+ months performanceShift : Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM / Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AMPay Range:  $17 - $19 per hour on W2 without benefits      Position Summary:<ul><li>Performs tasks associated with specimen management including receiving samples, loading and unloading automation, and storage.</li></ul> Essential Job Duties:• Assists with loading and unloading of specimens on the Hamilton pipetting instruments including capping and uncapping samples, labeling aliquot tubes, pulling errors, and sorting aliquots.• Performs maintenance of laboratory instruments.• Sorts specimens into appropriate station for manual pipetting.• Returns specimens to appropriate locations.• Performs discard and relocation of specimen racks.• Adheres to the standard operating procedures and safety requirements of Esoterix, CLIA, CAP and other regulatory bodies.• Documents all quality assurance activities as necessary including preventative maintenance logs, instrument function checks, troubleshooting, and quality control to ensure regulatory compliance.• Follows any other job-related instructions and performs any other job-related duties requested by department management. Required Education/Degree:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li></ul>
