- The Lab Coordinator will join Clinical Pharmacology Research Laboratory under the Division of Cardiology School of Medicine at ZSFG to conduct nicotine and tobacco related researches in human.
- The Lab Coordinator will perform advance chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis, such as Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GCMS), Gas Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS/MS), and Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS); organize experimental data and keep detailed records of experiments; prepare and present reports independently.
- The Lab Coordinator will also involve in equipment preventive maintenance, service agreement updates, freezers, equipment inventory; maintain records for Biohazard User Authorization Permit; will be the lab contact for safety inspection, facilities management and repairs; perform other duties as assigned.
- This research group consists of UCSF faculty whose studies are focused broadly on clinical investigation of the pharmacology and cardiovascular toxicities of tobacco, electronic cigarettes, and cannabis products.
- The analytical chemistry laboratory is recognized as a national resource for biomarkers of tobacco exposure due to staff members with training and expertise in demanding mass spectrometry and gas chromatography techniques that are required for accurate and reproducible measurements.
