Full-time
- Perform all phases of substation maintenance on 138kv and below voltage equipment including but not limited to: adjustments of switches, sampling, testing, degasification, and filtering of oil.
- Update substation logs and equipment records, maintenance of substation yard, fence, gates, signs, and security systems, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and stored energy systems, read, and understand schematics and wiring diagrams, etc.
- Perform the following tests using manufacturer software (if applicable): contact resistance, insulation resistance (megger), complete set of power factor tests (doble), winding resistance, TTR, high potential (hi-pot), dielectric of oil, SF6 tests (moisture, SO2, purity), breaker timing, battery load, and impedance, infrared thermography (FLIR),
- Perform switching and tagging on equipment at all voltages as directed by the system operator or supervisors in accordance with established FKEC practices.
- Operate the following equipment: digger derrick, mini excavator, skid steer, trencher, mini backhoe, bucket truck, automobiles, and forklift.
