- Job: IT Support Specialist I Classification: Salaried/Exempt FLSA Category: Computer Employee Exemption Job Category: 2 Professionals Position Summary The IT Support Specialist l performs desktop administration activities for all end user hardware and software components of the TRMC information technology (IT) infrastructure.
- The TRMC IT end user infrastructure includes, but is not limited to the following: LAN connections, personal firewalls, desktop applications (i.e. Microsoft Office and other hospital applications), workstations, laptops, network and phone wiring, telecommunications (i.e. VPN connections and telephones), workstation peripherals, local and network printers, desktop operating systems across multi-vendor platforms, and other network-based applications (i.e. Email, Intranet).
- Essential Functions -Works with departments to test/troubleshoot, document and resolve problems with IT infrastructure components.
- Uses diagnostic equipment to determine functional ability of current or new cabling as required.
- Adheres to departmental policies and procedures and applicable industry standards i.e. IEEE, NIST. -Provides on-call support and after-hours support for on-call staff.
