Job Description
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
We are looking for a team-oriented person with a deep understanding of release management and is an expert in build process within DevOps to help support Michigan State Police (MSP). Above all we are looking for someone that is passionate about IT solutions, building positive team culture, being a leader, innovative, and adheres to industry best practices. This individual must be able to troubleshoot under difficult circumstances, be an excellent communicator, lead highly complex projects, take on challenges to resolve complex problems, and maintain good rapport with agency staff at all levels.
The Configuration Management Specialist is the subject matter expert and strategic planner on Business and change management for MSP. Leading with design and implementation of release management and use build processes within the DevOps tools that will shorten system development life cycle and provide continuous delivery. Ensure that solutions are integrated and enhanced to meet the needs of the agency’s business plan.
Assist in solve system design problems.
Provide complex scripting in support for build automation and into CI/CD tools.
Design and develop complex process workflows.
Develop the business process for rollout and implementation plan.
Follow, implement, and maintain DTMB Security Practices, Policies, and Procedures.
Maintain awareness of industry best practices.
Serve as technical advisor for business process and change management contracts, policies.
Ensure appropriate Access and Availability.
Proactively monitor and ensure all servers are current in all patches and security updates, that would include reviewing tenable scans and any critical vulnerabilities.
Oversee research efforts to ensure timely R&D of new technologies and new functionality of Business Process Management and Change Management.
Provide expert assistance and guidance in solving/troubleshooting technical issues
Application/solution incident response SME.
Provide audit responses.
Drive efforts to develop team processes/procedures.
Provide coaching and mentoring to junior CM administrators.
Participate in on-call rotation.

SIGNING BONUS:
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
