Title Intern, Autonomous Air Systems R&D Developer Job Description KBR is seeking an Summer intern to conduct internal research and development to design, build, test and analyze autonomous capabilities relevant to US Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Recognizance missions, as well as expand a technical base applicable to all air mission sets. We are seeking driven, self-starting, adaptable and skilled developers with a strong interest in autonomous weapon systems and national defense. Selected interns will research current autonomous systems and approaches and help implement approaches to build autonomous behaviors enabling USAF fleets of autonomous UAVs to independently sense it’s environment, reason about its tasks and resources and develop optimal flight and sensing plans to best satisfy multiple simultaneous objectives. This position will also help define, model, and implement simulation environments to help analyze system performance. This position will work with a distributed team of developers in-person in the Dayton, OH area or remotely.
