- Prepare new generator interconnection applications, including developing conceptual single line diagrams, verifying compliance with reactive power requirements, and creating PSS/E models to support the applications.
- Perform independent power system studies, focusing on thermal and voltage contingency analyses, to support our clients' generator interconnection planning strategies.
- Conduct advanced grid system studies to evaluate specific scenarios and impacts as required by our clients, such as higher renewable penetration and retirement of existing units, and assess transmission and non-transmission alternatives.
- A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background and coursework emphasis in Power Systems Analysis is required.
- Ideally 2-5 years of power systems engineering experience, including knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs such as PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, and ISO-NE.
