- The Instrumentation Technician Level I is the entry level electronics and instrumentation position within in the Wastewater Treatment Division.
- They work under the direction of the Area Maintenance Supervisor and receive technical instruction and guidance from the Instrumentation Technician Level II and Control System Technician.
- The position is responsible for and requires the necessary skills to test, calibrate, and repair various types of equipment including, but not limited to, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic controllers, incineration and air emissions controls, gas analyzers, density meters, flow meters, pressure transmitters, pH probes, dissolved oxygen, ammonia and dissolved solids analyzers, ultraviolet light transmittance meters, turbidity meters and various other types of transmitters and level controllers
- The instrument technician will also perform basic troubleshooting of existing PLC and HMI programs and works with the other trades to solve technical challenges.
