- Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrument and Electrical Designer with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
- As the Instrument and Electrical Designer you will be responsible for design work supporting facility based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant.
- We typically don’t work with voltages higher than 480VAC Relay logic design experience Motor elementary design experience VFD elementary and controls design experience Create and maintain typical Electrical drawings: Single Line Diagrams, Power Panel Schedules, Power Plans, Lighting Plans, Motor Control elementaries, Cable Schedules, etc
- Ability to respond to questions from electrical contractor and assist with startup testing Instrumentation / Controls skills desired: Create and modify instrument loop diagrams Create and modify control system schematics (120VAC, 24VDC
- Rudimentary control panel design and specification of components Provide instrumentation input on P&IDs Specify instrumentation based on given process and piping information Control system platforms used on site: Foxboro IA, Allen Bradley PLCs (PLC-5, ControlLogix), Siemens S7 CAD skills desired: Plant standard CAD system is AutoCAD We have recently migrated from Microstation.
