Industrial Engineers are involved in all phases of the factory life cycle, including proposals, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Cell/Line balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Pareto Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management.Responsibilities to Anticipate:<ul><li>Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.</li><li>Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.</li><li>Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.</li><li>Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.</li><li>Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.</li><li>Partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.</li><li>Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.</li></ul>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 2 years applicable experience. Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.
