- Performs highly responsible skilled technical work in the maintenance, installation, modification and repair of a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic instrumentation, equipment and control systems used in water and wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, pumping stations, sand transfer plants, floodgate systems, bascule bridges and airport facilities.
- Analyzes, diagnoses and repairs highly complex electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment; works with high voltage; estimates materials and supplies needed for repairs.
- Assignments are made verbally or in writing and work is reviewed through observation of results obtained, conferences and reports.
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of four (4) years of journey-level experience in the maintenance, repair and installation of electronic and heavy electrical equipment, industrial electrical and electronic control systems.
- Necessary Special Requirement: Must obtain a Palm Beach County (PBC) or Florida (FL) Electrician's License within 11 months of appointment.
