As part of the Imaging Services Team, the Imaging Services coordinator provides oversight and technical support for the department. Provides for the appropriate and efficient day to day technical operations in the delivery of departmental services that meet or exceed customer needs and requirements. Essential Duties <ul><li>Responsible for the supervision and daily operations of the department's Staff.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining departmental supplies to par levels set.</li><li>Responsible for facilitating cross training of personnel where possible.</li><li>Responsible for serving as consultant and instructor for all breast imaging personnel to prepare them for and assist them in their duties.</li><li>Responsible for the evaluation process of the department's staff.</li><li>Responsible for reporting quality control, quality assurance and radiation safety issues to the department director.</li><li>Supervises and maintains department staffs CEU’s and current licenses.</li><li>Responsible for the timely repair and servicing of all departmental equipment.</li><li>Willingly performs other related duties, task or project outside immediate work area as assigned or required (i.e., scheduling, clerical) by the Department Manager.</li><li>Acts as a mentor to and is a source of information for less experienced Radiologic Technologist.</li><li>Acts as an ambassador of good will when interacting with all staff members and other departments.</li><li>Uses the chain of command appropriately to communicate any concerns with the department, co-workers or medical staff.</li><li>Exhibits organizational skills and utilizes time efficiently.</li><li>Able to be reached via cell phone while on duty and after hours including nights and weekends. .</li><li>Takes a leadership role in the development of radiology resources to accomplish daily task.</li><li>Handles difficult situations in a discreet and professional manner.</li><li>Demonstrates ethical behavior in decision making and the performance of services.</li><li>Assists maintaining technical staff license records.</li><li>Maintains staff/patient confidentiality.</li><li>Demonstrates respect and cooperation in all staff relationships, and a genuine willingness to prevent or resolve interpersonal conflict.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to participate in and/or implement team decisions.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of California State regulations. </li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li>Req High school or equivalent</li><li>Req Specialized/technical training Graduate of an AMA approved 2-year Radiologic Technology Program.</li><li>Req Specialized/technical training Mammography Certified</li><li>Req 2 years Experience in a Supervisory or Lead Technologist role.</li><li>Req Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.</li><li>Req Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients.</li><li>Req Organization/time management skills. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Pref Venipuncture Certification Preferred </li></ul>Required Licenses/Certifications <ul><li>Req Registered Technologist - R.T. (ARRT)</li><li>Req Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH)</li><li>Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association</li><li>Req Mammography (ARRT)</li><li>Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only) </li></ul>The hourly rate range for this position is $45.00 - $76.50.
