- Visiting Faculty - Traveling Position International Honors Program/SIT Study Abroad IHP Climate Change: The Politics of Land, Water and Energy Justice Reports to: Program Director Salary Range: $28,000 - $32,000 (contract period, salary commensurate with experience) Anticipated Start Date: December 2024 Term of Employment: approximately 5-6 months Apply by: March 31, 2024 Base of Designation/Remote Eligible: Travel to San Francisco (USA), Morocco, Nepal, and Ecuador required.
- Travel insurance provided, subject to plan terms School for International Training (SIT) seeks a Visiting Faculty member to join an interdisciplinary team of faculty and country coordinators leading IHP's Climate Change: The Politics of Land, Water and Energy Justice program in Spring of 2025.
- Work with the Provost & Dean of Faculty, Program Director, and Country Coordinators, to ensure that any academic, administrative and student affairs associated with the program are resolved.
- Terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) in political economy, sociology, anthropology, history, geography, political ecology or other social science or interdisciplinary field engaged with environmental studies.
- Must be able to meet the physical, emotional maturity, mental health, demands and possess the personal qualities-patience, adaptability, collegiality, cross-cultural competence, and organization - needed to be part of an intensive, team-oriented study abroad program that covers four countries in one semester.
