- The ideal candidate for this open-rank position has demonstrated productivity in entrepreneurship or in the industrial, government, non-profit, or academic sectors.
- They have had a lead role in one or more projects in the areas of food, health, augmented reality, or cybersecurity that utilize relevant subject matter expertise in topics such as cellular agriculture, genomics, nutrition, artificial Intelligence, internet of medical things, medical imaging, bioelectronics, wearable devices, neuroscience, regulatory science, public health, law or policy, in which they have worked in teams and delivered measurable outcomes.
- They have also demonstrated capabilities in establishing policies and processes that support growth in these areas and have experience in developing or implementing STEM education or workforce training programs.
- The candidate is expected to establish teams to define and meet research and entrepreneurial objectives, to secure funding through grants and contracts, to establish policies and procedures to support the R&D agenda, to disseminate knowledge and to participate in program related national and international events.
