- Responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of all instruments, distributive control systems, electrical equipment, PLC's and/or process analyzers.
- Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical and instrumentation and control systems and equipment such as major plant power distribution system controllers, wiring, switches, control valves, analyzers (process and environmental) and alarm systems used in both PLC & DCS control environments for the monitoring, control, & safeguarding of process system flows and operating variables in accordance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow U.S. Coast Guard manuals and other regulatory documents as they relate to work being performed
- Ability to work in the JDE and CMMS systems, as well as other terminal operating systems
- The craftsman has the authority of the Maintenance Supervisor when appointed, and the authority to fulfill the responsibilities of this job description
