- Under the direction of senior management, inspects dwelling units for the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program to ensure compliance with standards established by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
- Inspects housing units for the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program.
- Verifies compliance with HUD’s Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and/or the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) as well as local codes and ordinances, including building, zoning, fire, and health codes.
- Coordinates findings with agency's fraud-prevention personnel.
- Develops and distributes written materials and marketing information to housing providers and property management groups emphasizing the benefits of participating in the Section 8 Program as well as home safety, hazard prevention and maintenance to preserve quality housing.
