This position reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Director of Environmental Services. Essential Functions: <ul><li>Attends work as scheduled and follows community’s call-off procedures.</li><li>Performs general cleaning assignments in apartments, hallways and common areas.</li><li>Prepares apartments for move-in as assigned and clean apartments for move-outs as assigned.</li><li>Participates in periodic cleaning schedules.</li><li>Utilizes cleaning chemicals properly and safely in accordance with department guidelines.</li><li>Informs supervisor of any pertinent resident issues or concerns.</li><li>Keeps housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment in good working order.</li><li>Working in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations. </li></ul>Non-Essential Functions: <ul><li>Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.</li><li>Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.</li><li>Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.</li><li>Adheres to all policies and procedures of Spring Hills.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>HOURS Hours 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Skills: <ul><li>Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.</li><li>Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.</li><li>Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.</li><li>Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. </li></ul>Attributes: <ul><li>Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.</li><li>Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.</li><li>Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).</li><li>Speech Recognition - The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.</li><li>Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.</li><li>Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. </li></ul>Experience and Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
