- Department Cancer Care Services Job Summary The Oncology Nurse Navigator is a RN who identifies and provides guidance to patients and families in eliminating potential barriers to cancer care by identifying and referring to appropriate resources and also functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team as an advocate and educator for patients from point of suspicious findings, through diagnostic studies, diagnosis and treatment plan for cancer through survivorship.
- Require one (1) year of clinical practice in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nurse navigator role within an acute care hospital setting.
- Prefer Oncology Nurse certification or other Nurse Navigation certification.
