- Battleground Texas is a Political Action Committee dedicated to civic engagement and voter registration as tools to build stronger communities.
- The primary responsibility of a Deputy Field Organizer (DFO) is to organize in their communities and neighborhoods by registering and turning out those new voters.
- This job traditionally requires the ability to carry folding tables weighing approximately 35lbs, set up canopy tents, occasionally crowd canvass at events for several hours at a time, and participate in neighborhood canvases which involve a lot of walking.
- Time in this position will be split between site-based voter registration like tabling and clipboarding at community events and canvassing door-to-door in neighborhoods to register voters.
- Canvass door-to-door for voter registration in target neighborhoods and precincts using MiniVAN smartphone application or similar smartphone application;
