- Provides dynamic leadership under the direction of the principal in the school by creating educational options which lead to academic growth and achievement for all students through a thorough knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, supervision and evaluation, staff professional learning, community engagement, and positive school culture; implements a student-focused vision and collaborative leadership style to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
- Demonstrates organizational leadership by strategically developing a vision and mission, leading change, enhancing the capacity of personnel, distributing resources, and aligning systems of communication for continuous school improvement
- Demonstrates instructional leadership by aligning curriculum, instruction and assessment, supporting professional learning, conducting observations, providing actionable feedback, and holding staff accountable for student outcomes
- Demonstrates knowledge of effective instructional practice and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement of teaching and learning
- Reports to the principal regarding the needs of the school/program with respect to curriculum, instruction, assessment, staff, budget/resources, facilities, etc.
