- The incumbent is responsible for providing group psychotherapy on inpatient units, residential and/or partial hospital programs (as needed), along with providing individual therapy which focuses on the application and acquisition of skills addressed in groups.
- Therapist will be responsible for both set-up before and clean up after the group occurs.
- Alerts appropriate staff (e.g. Nurse Director, Medical and/or Clinical Director, Treatment Teams) of emergent clinical issues that occur during group sessions.
- Reports to the Coordinator of Inpatient Group Therapy (working in collaboration with the unit's Group Therapy Coordinator/Nurse Director (or other identified program lead) for supervision and performance evaluations.
- Masters Degree (MA) or higher from a recognized clinical/counseling or related behavioral health training program, including: Expressive Therapy, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology, Psychology, Psychiatry.
